I expect Ender to “hopefully” go on a streak or two and up his average in the .260 range and provide elite defense.
I would expect Pache to bat in the .220-.240 range and provide elite defense, but with more power.
I’m not advocating for this to happen btw. I was simply stating that I do NOT want Pache traded. Because of his elite D he could literally be called up now if a few major injuries happened. Not that i want that. He needs another year to year and a half in the minors.
Given that he’s just now figuring out High A and hasn’t shown the ability to draw walks, no I don’t think he could hit .240 in the bigs right now. Ender is still on pace to be worth 2 WAR. I have genuine doubts that Pache would even be a replacement level player until he’s had more time to work on hitting.

I've honestly been wondering if this is just going to be Pache. After starting pretty badly for his first 15 games in the A+ level he's actually OPS'd at .806 since for 66 games and heck...after an awful first 6 games, it's been a .783 OPS. The Florida State League is a pretty significant power suck, so his having 30 XBH already is pretty telling for his swing adjustment. The only problem is walks.
I don't know that it happens this year, but he's still a guy in which I wouldn't be surprised if he goes to Mississippi and his FINALLY true breakout is there. I also wouldn't be surprised if he goes there and he pretty much does just about the same, or maybe adds a few more walks and about +.020 on the slugging and other than that, that's it for the changes.

Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
Again, I was not saying I want Ender gone and Pache up lol. Just stating I don’t want Pache traded.
In saying that, I think Pache will be the better player easily two years down the road. I like Ender btw a lot , so that’s not saying anything negative towards him.
Talking “what if’s” right now is pointless. If Pache was called up right now, there would have to be something catastrophic happen AND we were contenders with a small window (like the Nats did with Soto).
The last thing I would want to happen would be for Pache’s growth to be stunted because of too little reps in the minors.
