I hope Teheran's fastball is better this inning, it topped out at 87.8 mph last inning and sat 85-87 mph mostly.

We may have not one but two Anibal Sanchez's in our starting rotation now.

Teheran is throwing mostly off-speed as his fastball is lacking, the hard hit outs have been on that fastball. His best so far is 88.3 mph but more are 86-87 mph so far.

If Teheran has this velocity his location must be almost perfect, hard to do. Even Sanchez when successful can hit 92 mph.

Julio can hit 92--flat and no idea where it's going-- but he can do it.

Teheran is locating that 87 mph fastball when he uses it very well, throwing more off speed so far first time through.

yeah pretty sad he's fallen so far...he's behind Camargo in OPS now, and he still hasn't picked up his walk rate. He does seem to be swinging less at bad pitches though.

Simply not buying that Albies is healthy at all other than enough to play right now. I think another injury threw him totally haywire mechanically LHH. Which makes it a good question, if injuries throw him totally haywire on that side, should he even be a switch hitter?
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Teheran just got a K on his best fastball at 89.4 mph, his off speed has been very good tonight so far.

He got that pop out locating a 87.9 mph fastball on the outside corner. He is really locating his pitches well so far and had better velocity this inning topping out at 89.4 mph.

Nothing to show for it, but Swanson is absolutely stinging the ball.
