Not sure what could have been done then but yes in hindsight then government ay levels failed us.

It revealed just how moronic the political and expert class really are. Destroyed the economy for nothing.

Your way of debating and discussing issues is moronic. Your obsession with trying to frame everything in one particular way demeans and disguises any good opinion you might one day have. You're like a kid running ahead of everyone saying "See! See! It's just like I said it was." Then we arrive to find it's the same BS as usual.

Politicians will be politicians. Trump is several shades worse.

It's the job of the President to give states and the citizenry the best and most timely information available, from experts. And when the best info changes, you change with it. But when he starts out with such blatant lies like Trump always does, no one can trust him.

??? Who do you want to replace the politicians and expert class with? Steve Bannon? And what is he other than another expert politician.

She had a roommate who would be overly physical due to her illnesses and it took a long time to get a transfer completed.

I think overall it should have made a lot of sense to NOT put CcP virus cases in an enclosed area with the most at risk.

This was a failure of epic proportions and full investigations need to be done.
Nursing homes are expensive and profit rules in this economy. Did you just make an argument for more federal regulation?

It was a governmental policy that led to their deaths. Last thing we need is more government

Even his fat, disheveled self could hurdle that high bar. Washington would be significantly better with the subtraction of one man. Trump is the turd in the soup ruining everything. Without him I think the federal response would've been more in line with normal dysfunction.

Interesting study looking at the different demographics of people admitted for influenza over the past number of years v. people admitted for COVID-19. One takeaway:

Compared to 52,422 individuals hospitalised with influenza, patients admitted with COVID-19 were more likely male, younger, and, in the US, had fewer comorbidities and lower medication use.

Wouldnt this lead one to believe that more white people got the flu shot and developed more immunity to the nom novel influenza strains?

Why is the govt stockpiling masks now? They are more concerned with protecting senators and the military in a future pandemic than protecting citizens and health workers in this one.
