Are the Phiiiies going to vote not to take the field on Fri vs Braves??
They didn't tonight.
Oh! I have slipped the surly bonds of Earth
And danced the skies on laughter-silvered wings;......
And, while with silent, lifting mind I’ve trod
The high untrespassed sanctity of space,
Put out my hand, and touched the face of God.

only the Mets
That is my favorite non-Braves moment of the year, for sure.
The interesting thing about those numbers just may be how badly the national media and pundits have missed the boat on the Braves (yet again) after swearing "there's no way we're going to underestimate them" and "they're not sneaking up on people anymore" all winter and during the first camp
All I've heard the talking heads on The Network and XM say for weeks is that "if the Mets add another arm to go with deGrom", or "once McCutcheon gets going and the top of the lineup starts clicking", or "don't sleep on the Marlins, Mattingly's got a talented group of youngsters that believe in themselves and don't know they're not supposed to be doing this" - yet here we are again. You can easily argue that Soroka was a bigger loss than Syndergaard or Strasburg, Hamels was a bigger loss than Stroman, missing Ozzie for the whole season so far is a bigger deal than McCutchen's slow start and losing Acuna for 10 games is a bigger hole than anyone else has dealt with yet.
Take 2 of 3 from the Phillies this weekend and we've won the season series, and we've already secured at least a split against the Mutts. We're done with the Yankees and Rays and split with them. Done with the Jays. We've got 6 games left with the non-pitching Sox and 3 with the Orioles while everybody else has to try to make up ground against us while playing the Rays, Yankees, and Jays.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Clevinger is definitely being talked about in trade scenarios. Indians are known to listen on everyone and some see winter trade as more likely. Price said to be “ridiculous.” But it should be. Talented (141 ERA plus), young (29) and not a free agent for multiple more years.
Get off my lawn!
Looks like Cohen will buy the Mets. Mets fans think they'll get every FA and have a 300 million payroll now.
Not sure where those NL pennant odds come from, but I got the Padres at +1400 to make the World Series two weeks ago.
I know betting odds are not the same, but baseball reference looks real dumb.
#Nationals Trea Turner is batting .313/.372/.533 with 130 runs, 215 hits, 50 doubles, 8 triples, 28 home runs, 83 RBI, and 41 stolen bases over his last 162 games played. He is batting .515/.556/.864 over his last 72 plate appearances.
Crazy
In December 2014, the Padres, Nationals, and Rays executed a big three-team trade. Let’s break it down:
The Rays traded Wil Myers, Ryan Hanigan, Gerardo Reyes, and José Castillo to the Padres. They then immediately traded Hanigan that same day to the Red Sox for Will Middlebrooks.
The Padres traded sent René Rivera, Burch Smith, and Jake Bauers to the Rays.
The Nationals traded Steven Souza and Travis Ott to the Rays.
The Padres traded Joe Ross to the Nationals.
In June of 2015, the Padres sent Trea Turner to the Nationals to complete the trade.
