What does "addressing history" mean? What do you want us to do, get in the time machine and encourage black people to swim 100 years ago?

I'm genuinely asking what you want here? It seems to me you want to make a point about racism and thats it. Id rather talk about what people could do to remove what structural barriers are in the way of black people swimming. As far as I can tell, there are literally zero. But please tell me where I'm wrong

Fwiw- this whole thread is a pretty big stereotype that I don’t find to be the case at all.

Sturg you obviously don't care about swimming equity. We should be creating a white privilege tax to fund new swimming pools in black neighborhoods, and black only swimming lesson scholarships, and black only childcare services, and black only mass transit options to those pools. Only white supremacists believe that blacks can transcend the inherent systemic racism of swim culture to provide any of these things for themselves.

No one has said anything as to what addressing our past means other than “that’s about what I thought “

This could go down in chop country history as all time worst threads ?

“Understanding our past determines actively our ability to understand the present.”

If you seriously don’t understand what lead us to today and why things are, then it’s no real point to deal with you moving forward so it doesn’t happen again

    This ain’t difficult

Y’all sound like turkey talking about the Arminian genocide and every other group that doesn’t want to be honest about the past that affects today. Lol

    Goldy, for the 100th time.

WHAT DO YOU WANT US TO DO RIGHT NOW?

    What will make you satisfied?

I know the answer is nothing because such a simple stupid mind would rather virtue signal about racism that no longer exists rather than look forward about what could be.

Here's the deal, if a black person doesn't want to swim today, then that is on them, and only them. Nobody or nothing is stopping them from doing it.

Why is this so hard for you?

    For literally the 1000th time

Your off topic diversion is not relevant to the topic

    Again

You’d rather talk about anything and everything except the topic or issue

You’re the master of misdirection and I’m not here to play your game mr believes he’s really intelligent

And literally there are legit reason of why not other than the ones you posted...do YOU understand those?

Do you have that ability to see passed racism and see other means of an outcome?

This thread is a great reason of why not.

    Well, if people genuinely understand

You then can heal and move forward tap

This is basic healing and building moving forward of literally anything in life

Of course, not everything is racist or racism.

But what we are talking about is dealing with people that think racism isn’t still happening or the centuries of racism somehow don’t affect things today. Which, is the point of this thread

How many people are now healed? Will they go to pools now that sturg and I understand?

Your term was "word salad" I believe?

FWIW- I think those reasons are bull****. They are an excuse to stay comfortable not swimming.

If you want it bad enough, some actions from some idiot 75 years ago aint stopping you.

while the lecturing buffoon tries to take this down as the most useless and irrelevant thread every started on this board, this thread is easily my favorite among the simpletons

re-reading it made me literally laugh out loud
