So let me get this straight. Doctors and hospitals are purposely misdiagnosing at least 25% of COVID patients to get money because they can't do elective procedures.... but the more people they label as COVID-19, the worse it looks and the longer shutdowns remain in place, making it even longer until they can do elective provedures and costing them even more money......

While there hasn't been a single game changing treatment, medical science is making progress against COVID-19. My guess is we'll see a steady decline in the IFR going forward, which will provide a measure of justification for a strategy of "buying time" rather than letting the fire burn.
