He's not a superstar...he's a REALLY GOOD glue/role/supporting guy...whatever you want to call him. He's not a max/superstar, if you want to go around giving those types of guys a max contract, then go ahead. Just because guys like Middleton and Dray are going to get the max, doesn't mean it's a good smart deal.

Your definition of a superstar is solely dependent on the ability to put the ball in the basket at a high level. While being a very important part of the game it is not the only part that should get consideration of "SUPERSTAR"

Your contention that Green is not a max player can only be based on putting way to much weight on scoring the basketball. Green does basically everything else at a near elite level.

If I'm paying a guy the max, then I would hope they would either be the go to guy or a facilitator that makes others better. If it's not the go to guy, then I better have another max type player that is a scorer.

If Green goes to another team and signs a max and plays alongside a go to type scorer like a Harden, then I'm sure he will be fine. If he went somewhere like Washington or a spot where they don't have a scorer, it is going to be a nightmare.

I wouldn't be comfortable giving max dollars to guys that aren't the best player on their team and won't be the best player on the team they sign with.
