Well. You are a New Yorker and have your own observations. I worked in the city while he was mayor. He was a decent mayor, especially in his first term. And he had his moment of greatness in response to 9/11, and no one can take that away from him.

But Rudy had (and has) an unusual personality. He only seemed happy to me when he had someone to fight with. Otherwise he was bored. I suppose that made him a good prosecutor. But finding happiness by fighting others is a problematic way to live. And I think as he got older he deteriorated. Happens to all of us.
