This coming from the guy who is linking multiple pieces sequentially and indiscriminately obtained from the Rachel Maddow Show Facebook feed.

Steve Benen is / was the writer of most of those pieces.

You probably have read him in the Guardian or Atlantic or many other print and / or digital publications.

Yes, I get that, but that wasn't my point.

I have no idea who Steve Benen is. I don't know who many political writers are. Not obsessed with bylines. If the content stands on its own, and is published in a veritable source, I allow it to speak for itself.

Not caught up in the name game.

No, it was that you got the links from her Facebook page. Not just this one, but one from another thread that were posted back to back (jack) ... just shining your method.

Interesting: Rubio mentions reforming health care system - doesn't mention repealing Obamacare

The timing could hardly be better:

House Republicans are voting to repeal "Obamacare" ... on Groundhog Day.

Oklahoma has been resisting expansion of Medicaid for years, but they might finally be ready to cave in:
    ...
....In the poverty-wracked south*eastern corner of the state, where 96 percent of babies in the McCurtain Memorial Hospital are born to Medicaid patients, most health care would end, said hospital CEO Jahni Tapley. "A 25 percent cut to Medicaid would not put my hospital in jeopardy, because we are already in jeopardy," Tapley said. "A 25 percent cut would shutter our doors for good, leaving 33,000 people without access to health care."

....Under the proposal, which would be funded in part with a $1.50-per-pack tax on cigarettes, Oklahoma would shift 175,000 people from its Medicaid rolls onto the federal health exchange created by the Affordable Care Act.

This is the exact area where I live.

EDIT: By the way, while I'm all for keeping the local hospital going because it is better than not having one but to be totally honest, I subscribe to the CareFlight (helicopter) insurance every year for myself and my family for a reason, if you follow me.

yes I do, or at least I think I do
But what about those that don't have access , for whatever the reason ?
I think this is targeted more towards them than people of your socio-economic strata.

    Correct me if I'm wrong

You're right about those who don't have access and I'm all for us keeping a local hospital though I don't think it's a great one, it's still way better than nothing at all. Where I live is almost exactly 1/2 way between the hospital you're talking about in Idabel and one in DeQueen, AR, which is also not great but one I'd MUCH rather go to than the one in Idabel. Of course they don't have the patent on being "not very good". The hospital of choice around here is about 1 1/2 hours away in Texarkana, TX. It's called St. Michaels and it clearly the class of this area, though I could tell you stories that might make you question what I mean by "the class of this area" about that one. Around here it's just best to "stay healthy" if you know what I mean. ;)

As for OK, we've long been run by idiots on the right. The media outlets in OKC are just as bad as Fox ever thought about being and always have been. We went through a period several years of Dem backlash and things actually got a little better for a while but now the Repubs are back in control under Gov. "Mattress Mary" Fallin. She and the Repubs are dedicated to "stopping that out of control EPA" and "standing up to Obama" and cutting taxes on millionaires and oil companies while our budget shortfalls get bigger and bigger, they're cutting Medicare/Caid and they've already gutted as many social programs as they could but instead of saving that money they just spent in on enlarging the corporation commission. She also signed legislation making it illegal for the Feds to force them to raise the minimum wage.

And down here in the SE part of the state there aren't many (legal) jobs and while there are a lot of nice people there are thousands of the kind you're talking about, those who can't afford any sort of medical care except to just go to the ER for everything. And I'm not just talking about poor people, I'm talking about those in another league entirely. You've been to those restaurants where you can pick your lobster from a tank that you want for dinner, right/ There are literally thousands down here who resemble a great big holding tank for Jerry Springer and his ilk to come and pick a handful of subject for their next show of "I can't believe they effing did/said that"!!!

Oh and this is OK, I promise you they're ALL armed.

" Ryan's Plan for a replacement for ACA/Obamacare is akin to his photo op Plan of washing already clean dishes when he ran for VP.

    FAKE it for votes!

    Ryan is a big fake.

He's in Congress because honestly....the guy can't do anything else. Didn't he negotiate as part of his Speaker position to only be in his office only 3 days a week now, for $223,500.00 a year? "

Weird. Job creation got better after Obamacare rolled out after years of the GOP saying the opposite would happen.
wonder what else Fox told you

If a Republican were president during this sort of recovery, the GOP would give him one of the lesser Reagan children.

Barring an asteroid or the biggest economic surprise in recent history, Friday’s jobs report will be the 60th straight month that America’s private sector has gained jobs.

That’s a new record — but another milestone this month arguably looms larger.

March marks five years since the Affordable Care Act was passed … amid Republican cries that the ACA was a job-killer.

To put that more plainly: The private sector hasn’t lost jobs since Obamacare was officially created.

    Were Republicans wrong?
