Jarryd Hayne has been fun to watch on the punt returns. Hope he makes the team.

Lynch was regularly a 100+ yard per game and double digit scorer at Cal and went 12th overall. Matt Jones never averaged more than 75 yards per game and never scored more than 6 times at Florida.

The comp I saw for him was Green-Ellis, if that's what he becomes, it will be a good value pick in the late 3rd/4th round, though

Not saying that Lynch and Jones are comparable RBs, just saying he could end up being a great RB, but that doesn't disprove what Tapate said.

And sure, IF he becomes that he is good value. Gilesfan acting like he was good at UF and had good combine numbers is silly though.

Just for the record, S&P ranked UGA's run defense at 58 and UTs at 21.

As I said, I'm not saying he's going to be a star, but he's looked a lot better than the SEC homers on here claimed. He certainly wasn't terrible at UF as he averaged 5 yards per carry on a team that couldn't complete forward passes.

I didn't said his combine numbers were great, I said they were better than below averageish

He's been a very good runner throughout camp and a bit of surprise considering the criticism they received for the pick. But, he certainly looks like a solid NFL running back. Here is a scouting report on him by RC fisher:

    Overview:

If Jones had never torn his knee up in 2013, we might be talking about one of the five best RBs in the 2015 NFL Draft—perhaps the best power runner of the group. His injury issues, and thus his somewhat limited playing time cast a shadow over seeing what he might be capable of. When he’s healthy, Jones is a ‘starter’ in the NFL—a RB who would be great in a RB-duo backfield...with Jones as the ‘thunder’.

    NFL Comparison:

Jones reminds me of a poor man’s Eddie Lacy, or a rich man’s Isaiah Crowell, or Stevan Ridley with slightly better hands. There really is a nice upside here if Jones can stay healthy. He absolutely belongs in the NFL as a power runner to some measure, but shows a possibility that he might be more of a feature back in time.

Pretty interesting that the same network that got rid of Cowherd because he made a poorly-worded statement about the lower quality of education in a third-world country hasn't done anything yet about a guy who pretty much told young NFL players it's OK to be a criminal as long as you have people that shield you. Gotta love the NFL.

Yeah I guess the fantasy thread I made serves no purpose. Not surprising if you consider who is the mod over this area.

The Chicago Tribune's Rich Campbell confirms Bears OLB Willie Young is on the roster bubble.
Young is coming back from a Week 16 torn Achilles' and trying to adjust to a 3-4 defense after spending his entire career in a 4-3. The scheme change is what's hurting him. Young led the Bears with 10 sacks last season, but Chicago is getting OLB Lamarr Houston back from injury and signed OLB Pernell McPhee. As long as Young is healthy, he'd be a hot name should he be part of final cuts.

Would love the Falcons to pursue Willie if he was available and move on from Kroy Bierman. It may take him some time to get to 100%, but he wasn't bad last year.
