I was on board with Santana at first, but now everytime he pitches, I think how that money should have gone to Hudson.
Santana's homeruns allowed is down this season. At least coming into tonight he was around .8 allowed for 9 innings pitched.
We all know Ervin isn't as bad as hes been as of late. We also know he wasn't as good as he started. He is somewhere in the middle. High 3's or low 4 ERA is where he should end up this season. Is that worth 14 million for a season? I say it's definitely not, but we weren't in a position of power when we signed him.
Too many easy outs in the lineup. Playing from behind makes it tough on the pitchers for sure.
