I'd love to hear feedback on how Rivero looks this spring. Hopefully hes a no brainer in the pen if Winkler can't make it back yet.

Swansons gooooooooooood
Fried... I love this guy..
Miggy -- soft ground out
JD mart. -- soft ground out
J Up -- called 3rd
Chaz Roe got absolutely lit up today.
Radio guys (Lemke and another gentleman) were very impressed with Fried. Talking about how great he looked, that everyone had been waiting to see what he could do in his first appearance, and the way he handled the meat of the Detroit line-up would make all of the Baseball America folks take notice.
I don't think Hursh makes it through the spring. Cut bait.
Swanson looking like the real deal in more and more ABs.

Ventura's Stolen Bases
He's also not in the top 100 in several outlets, and age is less important for pitchers.
Development is not linear. There is a reason he is 23 and not above a ball. Of course that reason is a justifiable cause against him. I go back to scouting repost from when he was drafted in addition to the reports of what his stuff was like at the end of the season. That picture of size/stuff and lefthandeNess is not exactly common.
His surgery is held against him too much IMO.
His ranking and people underestimating him doesn't really matter. We still have him. If he performs to his talent level and stays healthy he is going to shoot up the lists. If he doesn't then he's going to be like hundreds of other talented players that just never get it done.
yeah, but I think people pile on thethe just because it is thethe. I don't think saying a guy is underrated is wrong in this situation. It simply means that thethe (and myself) think Fried is more of a prospect than a lot of guys 'ranked' ahead of him. I don't care where he is ranked, just like you... but that doesn't deny me the right to question that ranking. His surgery is a justified knock on his prospectivness... just not as much as many think.
anyone care to provide a list of starting pitchers who had great major league careers after having had TJ surgery before reaching the majors
Degrom has had a good start
It's questioned because of is age relative to his competition along with his injury past. He has talent but those are big deals to many people. It's very valid imo. He's either going to overcome it or not. If he does then his natural talent will vault him to up the lists. And people pile on thethe because he has a track record of doing this with many prospects.
