actually in allocating blame/credit, I blame the GM for the team not having a situational lefty for such a long portion of the season...that was the main problem in the pen
Snit gets the blame for some things...he has continued to use Biddle in a way that doesn't account for the reverse splits...we were very lucky in game 1 to win in spite of one of Snit's worst bullpen moves this season...Ender's throw bailed him out
In term's of sharing the workload, Snit has done well. I thought earlier in the season he was pulling the starters an inning too early which was resulting in too high a workload for the pen. But lately he has been better about that. Biddle's emergence also allowed him to share the load better. If that had not happened, I think it would have worn out the other guys.

I don’t think it was our manager doing a better job. But our pen just being better. We also gave a few guys ten day breathers and had guys rotating on the bus between Gwinnett. Also wonder if there small run differential made them use some of their big guns more.
Coppy
Couple of observations. The Phillies and Braves bullpens have pitched almost an identical number of innings. They have six relievers who have pitched between 40 and 53 innings. We have 5 who have pitched over 40 and 2 (Winkler and Minter) who have pitched over 53 (54 and 56 respectively).
It looks to me like the workload for the overall pen and the distribution of that workload have been fairly similar. What might be different (and would require a bit of work) would be to see how many innings were pitched with no rest, how many times a reliever went 3 consecutive days or 4 games in 5 days. Stuff like that. I think Snit has been careful to try not to put our relievers in too many situations where they were pitching without rest. Freeman of course was the noticeable exception early in the season.

You have to give some credit to the starters too. All of them have pitched well lately save Newk, and that REALLY helps a bullpen.
What Skip used to say about catchers may ring true for Teheran's fastball: "He has deceptive speed... He's slower than he looks."
Thing is, he has been pretty dang good over his last what- three ? -starts...
Their bullpen will blow it.
Difo almost got it
