    Snyder.

Does anyone know where DeMacio went? I know he was reassigned, but unsure if he remained with the Braves.

He's listed as a "Major League Scout" for Braves.

Devine pick I got. Agree it should be rare, but I got it. I think we rushed him and then he gave up that big HR and it was mentally done. Stuff was there. Then got injured.

I don't know enough about these late picks to know if they are high upside guys we can use our "extra" money on.

Klaw I like. You have to know his biases. He likes young, high upside athletes. He really values defense. So you'll win the day for Klaw if you pick HS kids that can throw hard or run fast. He'll say things like "Gattis isn't a prospect" all the way up to Gattis becoming a major trade chip for the Braves. Gattis isn't young, a big time athlete or good at defense.
Klaw had us as a top 10 farm. I think most everyone else had us as a middle of the road farm. B/c Klaw loves the potential of a guy like Freid while BA takes into account the floor.

I think Law became very negative about the Braves as a result of the draft process under Wren. He ended up being right.

I think it was a bit more than that. I think Law saw that Wren was living "hand-to-mouth" to some extent and that at some point a crossroads was going to be reached and the franchise would have to go all-in or rebuild. Wren really didn't do too much to forestall that. If you're a mid-market team, you have to have a stream of players in a position to take over for the guys who will leave. That didn't to be part of Wren's thinking.

Then there was the whole thing about him completely ignoring scouts and apparently berating them in front of others in the organization. Everyone was critical of Bill making these same claims and Law basically just repeated the same things.

Wren was an awful leader. If you could just keep him away from the scouting department and let him work on trades then he would do a great job. But, the current regime might be even better at trading.

Thoughts on Soroka? Didn't seem to be projected to go that high, however looks like a projectable starter
    Klaw (1:54 PM)

I didn't have him that much lower than where he was taken. Real good arm, loose, easy, but slot is a little low for a starter.

How far was Austin Riley outside of your top 100?
    Klaw (1:55 PM)

If I'd gone another 20-25 names he would have been on it. I do have a strong bias (meow) against prep hitters from Mississippi because their track record is about as bad as it gets.

There's your out of the box pick with D.J. Neal. Big-time football player with a commitment to South Carolina. Will be tough to sway, but worth a shot.

What are the chances the Braves sign any of these high-schoolers drafted in the final ten rounds?

Terry Godwin, drafted a round after Neal, is also a football-first guy who will likely honor his football commitment to the University of Georgia.

Both these guys are really good football players. Godwin was a 5-star recruit as a multi-position athlete was ranked as the 10th best recruit regardless of position in the country at Rivals. Neal and was a 4-star recruit at wide receiver and ranked 31st nationally at the position at Rivals. My guess is they are both really fast.

I like those picks. Throw some money at them, and if one happens to take it, it's a huge win for us.

    Interesting last few pages.

Seems like a decent draft but like giles and chop, i just hope they can sign Allard.

Could be a future ace in the making if they can get him signed.
