I'd be pretty surprised if the Indians signed a FA OF with Brantley coming back and Zimmer ready soon.

Doubtful Brantley will ever be the same with the shoulder issue.

I wouldn't say it's doubtful. There's a chance he's never the same again, as is the case with most surgeries like this, but there's a pretty reasonable chance he's back to normal next year.

I want to see what teams fire sale before making a prediction.

If the Tigers, Diamondbacks, Angels OR White Sox decide to tear their teams down, it could really shake up baseball. I don't think they will but will instead move some pieces to take down payroll. BUT, if Detroit suddenly made Miguel Cabrera available, I could see him in Boston. Or, the WS make Sale and/or Quintana available, I could see them in Boston or LAD. That would shake a lot of this list up.

Is a draft pick tied to turner? If not, he'd be great for us

People really think we have no chance of actually getting Cespedes, huh? I think we have a pretty fair change -- but I don't really want him very much.

I'd love to get Jansen and Turner.

    So what about Mark Melancon...

He seems to get forgotten and would be a huge piece to the pen. I would love the Braves to go in for him around 4/44 and just slot everyone else down one notch.. We would have an elite BP and probably have to trade someone at the deadline to make room for one of Paco/Winkler/Minter.. The prospect return for good relievers is insane right now. I would be buying as much pitching as I could...

We're not going to give up draft picks.

Given the draft pick comp, and there are little good bats on the market. Pretty much just Ces, Bautista, Edwin, Turner and a few others.

If we decide to spend, i'd try to lock down a closer.
