Is Antifa "the" left
Besides not understanding the meaning and or connotations of "hate" it gets tedious having anything anyone disagrees with being framed "the left" did this or "the left" said that.
In the age of Trump
Antifa might be an apt example. I have been reading and supporting "left" causes (civil rights, climate science, choice etc etc etc ) since before most of you were born but had never heard of Antifa until the Tiki Riots. It was funny because I was assigned responsibility for any and all actions of Antifa.
And never heard of them before
Since the Tiki Riots and my learning of Antifa there have been shootings with a wink and nod from the NRA, a natural disaster where a shrug of the shoulders and a fend for yourself attitude was given by the Trump Administration , the eviscerating of the EPA, DACA and more and more policies designed to effect targeted groups of people. Not to mention the superficial tax cuts that give to the 1% and leave the rest. (Yes even you sturg) Policies that negatively effect those that are most vulnerable to negative effects.
Then there is Antifa -- Googling Antifa I learned that a day or so ago some random person said something someone else didn't like
Politics ain't beanbag - the old saying goes
So where and why does "hate" become the verb of political discourse. (unless of course you are Rand Paul's neighbor)
I will venture a guess that few here are aware the "hatred of the left" was yet another phrase coined by Rushbo

How about members of Congress meeting with frrakhan?
How about Obama never denouncing him.
It's almost comical that you would ask this. There is push from the left to censor any type of conservative voices. You guys are the fascists.
thethe always up on the talking points
Farrakhan is the new boogie man today
but since the distraction of the day is his, let's get this out of the way quickly
**** Farrakhan, he's garbage
now, back to the topic at hand.....
"For there is always light, if only we are brave enough to see it. If only we are brave enough to be it." Amanda Gorman
"When Fascism comes to America, it will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross"
The point actually was in direct response to the question so nice try. The left right now are the fascists.
I don't think I have equated, as a matter of fact I have never referenced David Duke or Westboro Baptist etc as the "hateful right". to my knowledge that was the first time I ever thought in those terms
Farrakhan has a boatload of deplorable beliefs but his whole life has preached negroid personal responsibility along the exact lines as many posters here.
You can look it up
Guess my point is one can not simultaneously condemn Farrakhan while excusing Trump.
Farrakhan has never been investigated for ties to the Russian mob to further a political end.
Or in simple terms. Sold his followers down the river to further his ends.
While like Farrakhan, Trumps anti Zionism and bigotry are on record
But, back to the topic at hand who are the "left"
and what is "hate"
and what gives those words together meaning
.............................................
Interesting Farrakhan is brought up as an example.
I expected Susan Sarandon or Meryl Streep.
Jerry Brown or Noam Chomsky

You laugh, but the current occupant of the Oval Office is evidence that many people share thethe's view on this. It has been blamed on numerous things; anti-white male sentiment, the scorn directed at Christianity, Masterpiece Cake scenarios, a surge leftward in journalism, Hollywood loudmouths, or just militant political correctness. Regardless, there was a strong and large sense of frustration that Candidate Trump was able to tap into. One would think that an opposition party that prides itself on diversity and acceptance would be curious about what actions and positions caused that outrage.

Bigotry, racism and misogyny- are not "diversities."
Couched or not as economic anxiety or compassionate conservatism or whatever bumper sticker is in vogue this week.
Or simply unmasked
You are ignoring 2 ongoing facts.

Yes. If you can't give a person an ounce of policy credit because of their political affiliation, that is hate.
It's hate when you intentionally describe the tax cuts as $3 a week... you said you were going to wait to play it out, but you've never posted a single positive thing about it. You mocked people who saw immediate benefits. That's hate.
You call me tikiboy because I said people have a 1st amendment right.
People like Ben Shapiro are called fascists simply because they are not liberal.
Campuses gets burned to the ground in protest of conservative speakers.
Conservatives often have to waste time and energy explaining that they are not, in fact, sexist/homophobic/racist/etc.
You support terrorist group Antifa because they protest your political enemies
I really could go on, sadly

I applaud the decision to meet with NK... about time
before Hawk gets all in a twither, I noticed the comma but chose to ignore it
Your definition of hate parrots Taylor Swift's. Was that on purpose or by accident?
Some day we'll meet for a drink and I will explain why I think Taylor Swift is the embodiment of the demise of Western Civilization as we know it.
I digress

Disagreement is hate ? Interesting
Perhaps you can explain why you and the others refer to " the left " to signify anything you find disturbing
Then go back and read your description of "hate"
.......
“A foolish consistency is the hobgoblin of little minds, adored by little statesmen and philosophers and divines. With consistency a great soul has simply nothing to do. He may as well concern himself with his shadow on the wall. Speak what you think now in hard words, and to-morrow speak what to-morrow thinks in hard words again, though it contradict every thing you said to-day. — 'Ah, so you shall be sure to be misunderstood.' — Is it so bad, then, to be misunderstood? Pythagoras was misunderstood, and Socrates, and Jesus, and Luther, and Copernicus, and Galileo, and Newton, and every pure and wise spirit that ever took flesh. To be great is to be misunderstood.”

I have zero problems meeting with NK.
