Maholm signs with Dodgers.
Terms of the Maholm deal?
LOL at bitching over Arroyo.
Should of just kept Huddy if they should of done that.

Paul's home starts hint that he will bounce back and have a nice year. Just a weird split.
Ok!
Tanaka seems to know what it means to be a Yankee!
For the flight to NY he hired a Boeing 787 (Dreamliner) for 5 persons! Cost: around 200T $!
Unbelievable!
Burnett was being linked to the Nats and how being linked to the Phillies. Man it's painful that two teams in our division seemingly have unlimited payroll.
He apparently has 5 teams bidding on him, can't imagine him walking away from that.
The Atlanta Braves signed Nick Markakis for 4/45 - Never forget 12/3/2014

Burnett signs with the Phillies.
... and it's $16MM for one year.
WTF Ruben Amaro. It must suck to be a legitimate Phillies fan.

Takes them from a 79 win team to an 82 win team. But really it is not a bad move. It doesn't cost them a draft pick. They could flip him at the trade deadline. What we're seeing with teams like the Phillies and Yankees is that even large amounts of money cannot overcome bad contracts and a mediocre farm system.
I'm relieved he went to the Phillies rather than the Gnats.
So would you rather be a fan of the Phillies or Cubs. Two teams with a lot of financial resources but taking very different approaches to being in a down cycle.

Can't see any downside to a Burnett signing. One year of him would have made worlds of sense for a lot of teams. Still wish we could've plugged him in in front of Minor, Medlen, Teheran, and Beachy/Floyd/Wood/etc..
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Without hesitation, the Cubs. Their approach is calculated, logical, and patient.
Amaro is the most wasteful GM in baseball. He also appears incredibly stubborn about accepting the condition of his team.
The Burnett signing is not a bad move, per se -- but it's almost a non-move. He is not going to help the team contend, and even if they were able to successfully flip him at the deadline there is no certainty in the quality of the package they might command. And then there's the matter of $16MM, which is no small sum -- even to a team like the Phillies. Throw that money at extending somebody like Domonic Brown, who might actually still be around the time the team makes waves again.
