Three first-rounders and one competitive balance A pick. Not bad.

yeah.. get to watch Sims this afternoon instead of working.. Then watch a little of Wentz and see if he is still struggle to throw hard. Will probably switch to Fried when his starts. I would watch Touki if he was on.. but I might set his game up on radio and just check in...

Can we start using their pitcher hybrid names? It really helps ZB understand who we are talking about.

    - very interested to see what kind of stuff Wentz has as he goes through the season - he was a big part of our 'draft strategy' last year.
    - Sims is still only 22 years old; I know it seems like he's been around forever, but I'm in no rush to figure out if he's a reliever or starter, he's still got time.
    - Any word on how Touki's changeup looks this year?

I haven't caught any of Wentz's games yet... so hopefully I will have an opportunity tonight. I did catch (listen) to Touki's first game, but dont' recall a change being mentioned. Sims had a pretty easy 1st.. base hit.. trouble locating his cut fastball (too much arm side movement).. but had his curve dropping in which made his fastball better.

Lane Adams looks like Mike Trout compared to Bonnie. Please bring him up and DFA Bonnie.

Sims being very efficient today. no deep counts.. throwing strikes now and getting weak contact.. Don't think the redwings are a very offensive club at the bottom of the lineup.. so he should attack them.

The Wentz thing is weird to me. He flew up every draft board when he was mid 90s last year, but it looks like most have had him just 89-91 this spring. Not great.

I just read that Pagan has decided not to play in 2017 despite having multiple MLB offers. I wonder if the Braves planned on having Pagan, but his refusal to play on such a bad team left them with no other option.

yea its weird, makes me think there's something potentially going on in his arm that's going to require the knife. Doesn't seem like a kid that young suddenly loses velo like that unless something is causing it.

    From TalkingChop:http://www.talkingchop.com/2017/4/20...atlanta-braves

"Kyle Muller entered in the 3rd inning and looked good sitting 88-91 with a great looking curveball."

That's not the most encouraging tidbit, despite the obvious attempt at injecting some homerism in there.

Right now, in today's MiLB thread, where we talk about MiLB players. Too logical?

spring training game is not a concern to me. I think you are trying a wee bit too hard to find the negative today. Did your dog spill your mountain dew on your play station last night. You seem a bit more grumpy today.

I assume Sims is now out with 82 pitches. But he did outstanding. 6IP, 3H, 0ER, 0BB, 4K

Gotta think Sims is done today. 81 pitches. 6ip, 3 hits, 4 Ks, ZERO BB.. I can really only recall 2, 3 ball counts but I am sure I missed a few. I saw some really great Curves from Sims today.

Lane Adams just keeps on hitting. 3-3 today.
ATL should bring him up for a try.

I'm pretty high on this whole lineup today. They're that kind of budding pack that should flower out there on the grass and really get this franchise elevated.
