“Stick it online. Do whatever you can to get this movie out. Not because everybody has to see the movie, but because I’m not going to be told we can’t see the movie. That’s the most important part. We cannot be told we can’t see something by Kim Jong-un, of all f*cking people.”

Really? He could hold a press conference and discuss it and condemn NK and talk about how he was going to strike back. This is cyberwarfare. I think the president has a duty to stick up for his country. "
BO did the right thing and not jumped to conclusions (like Benghazi, like Fast and Furious, like other f-ups he has had). He got the necessary info and then rebuked.
This is the only thing I have against KR in this thread. His big long rant was the best post in the thread and dead on.
Release the movie, they already got you by the balls and can use this in the future.
But I do blame Sony as well for sending nasty, racial filled emails in an executive environment. You have to be a complete idiot to do that.
Japan and SK have enough hackers to really mess them up and Japanese are more honorable and would fall on the sword.
Some heads are going to roll on this unless something is done EITHER way.
Even Obama nails it -

"We cannot have a society in which a dictator in some place can start imposing censorship in the United States," he told reporters at his final press conference of the year. "Imagine if producers and distributors and others start engaging in self-censorship because they don’t want to offend the sensibilities of someone who’s sensibilities probably need to be offended."

Just when you think Sony couldn't possibly be anymore of a wuss:
Hollywood came to the Rev. Al Thursday as embattled Sony exec Amy Pascal met privately with the black leader for 90 minutes in a bid to fix the fallout from the cyberhacking leak of embarrassing, racially charged emails.
Pascal agreed to let Sharpton have a say in how Sony makes motion pictures, in an effort to combat what he called “inflexible and immovable racial exclusion in Hollywood.”
“We have agreed to having a working group deal with the racial bias and lack of diversity in Hollywood,” said Sharpton.
He said Sony would work closely with his National Action Network, the National Urban League, the NAACP and the Black Women’s Round Table to “see if we can come up with an immediate plan to deal with it.”
The meeting, held behind closed doors at the Greenwich Hotel, also included National Urban League president Marc Morial.
“Our interest is seeing to it that Sony is on the right side of changing Hollywood,” Morial said.
This is what happens when you send racially explicit emails amongst executives and get caught by a 3rd World Country through hacking. If you piss off Denzel, a two time winner and snubbed out a few more, that is saying something.
If they did not commit the crime, they would not be screwed in the end.
I don't like Sharpton, but like the con artist he is, he jumped on this when Pascal did stupid schit and now paying for it. If she survives the next six months, I would be surprised.
They should release the movie and let the Hackers release the emails, some juicy stuff in there. Sony was trying to save their own ass and they can't now. It would be over, heads will be chopped off, but not beholden to a bunch of 3rd world nerds.
Being executives, you should like "grow up" and "not be stupid" in doing stuff like that to famous actors.
They even dissed Adam Sandler (maybe because he is a Jew?)
Hopefully this will only lead to more serious movies about NK and terror-based censorship. But, then, to what end?
I guess the North Koreans won't be playing online any time soon.
BWAHAAHHAHAHAHAAHHAAHHHAAHAHA!!!
That will teach them

You have to have permission from the government to even own a computer (so my plan might not even reach the people who need it). The sanctioned internet they have is called Kwangmyong, and it is a closed network run by the government. The few sites they have access to only "look" like the real ones. They are copied and edited before actually becoming part of the closed network. The people not in the government have no real clue about the world outside North Korea.

I thought the hacking originated by North Koreans in China?
Obama should have released a newer version on stuxnet through thier IPs in North Korea.
I
Some believe that the North Koreans simply hired Chinese hackers.
I personally believe that the power of 'Bureau 121' is largely a myth.
