That was not obstruction. The can swing. That's just part of the game.

Gattis swung at Ball 4 back to back.

    Awful plate selection.

Gattis is a shadow of his former self. Hard hit balls with no luck, more strikeouts, fewer homers...Needs to make the next round of adjustments.

Don't think there are many still around who want gattis for starting C next year.

I think its possible that he could end up being decent starting C. But he's no McCann. Would much prefer him to be the back up C, back up LF, back up 1b and PH instead.

Janish and pitcher starts next inning. Thanks to the ump calling ball four strike three on Joey T.

He needed more time int he minor leagues to learn how to hit. Braves needed him to start the year and he forced their hand to keep him up. Best thing for him would have been to be in AAA for half the year.

I think Gattis makes up his mind to swing before the pitch is even thrown.

I'd be fine with a Laird/Gattis combo to start the year with CB in the background. I don't think we need Mac back

    agree.

He's valuable. But I'm not sure he's a starting catcher.

And if he is our starting C it's a big downgrade from McCann. Might still be better than half of MLB but still a big downgrade.

Yeah, Mac is top 5 easily. I believe Gattis is somewhere in between what he was in April/May and he has been in June/July.

People want to jump off the bandwagon quickly but not me. The power is for real but he does need to get much better at pitch recognition. His catching skills are in the top half of the league though so he will have a job for a long time.

I still want Gattis. It's amazing to me how many of you guys throw a for over the braves giving up on Fransisco too early are already ready to give up on Gattis. The power's there. He just needs more time. He'll be ok. He's anxious now...

Unless BJ and Uggla hit next year losing Mac will be very big.

Uggla won't be our second baseman next year IMO.

Don't particularly agree with this. Gio can hit and you're setting the top of the order to at least lead off next inning.

Pitch 4 was a strike! Horrible call!
Should be out of the inning!
