Because Gattis sucks right now and Terdo is still a rook and Elliot is playing with the hot hand. This should explain it all.

With the offense in a slump of sorts, Im guessing it is a speed thing. Try to manufacture runs.

Hot hand??? He's 5 for 20 since joining the Braves, he's not exactly tearing it up. Way more upside with Terdo or Gattis.

Runs will be at a premium tonight anyway so it really doesn't matter. This kid is the real deal folks...I'm going tonight and I am looking fwd to seeing him pitch.

We're talking about Elliot Johnson, a bench player who was dropped from a playoff contender and had a .458 OPS for the year over in KC!!! Since coming over to Atlanta, he's got a sparkling .600 OPS. We're talking Janish bad here. Any option is better.

Yeah, that's gotta be it. Probably going to play small ball with Schafer and Elliot. Nobody's mentioned defense and I didn't think Elliot was and OF, period. But he's fast so maybe he's better defensively than I realize.

Only explanation I can think of is that Fredi is trying to get a good look at EJ to see if he wants to have him on the postseason roster.

Looking forward to the pitching matchup. Should be a low scoring game.

I would think EJ will be on and Janish not. I'd be surprised if we carry both. But we will need one of them to back up Simmons.

No sense even playing this one. Only for the minor detail that we're 47-18 at home and they're 20-44 on the road.

You gotta milk the udder while the iron is hot, at least until it turns into a pumpkin.

Then, you should probably call a vet.
