Did Chip really have to ask Joe if ads on uniforms bothered him?

if the guy can't discuss advanced stats, then you'll know he's going to hate ads.

A good sign of that is Davies, a guy with bad stuff, was able to shut us out over 7 innings with no strikeouts.

I finally agree with Joe on something. Get us back to a balanced schedule. My wife makes a joke that every time she sees me watching the Braves, we are playing the Walgreens Washington Nationals. I'd also want to play every AL team 3 games per year. Therefore, you see every AL team for 3 games at your park every two years.

Something like a sub .200 BABIP for the team today. Must be bad luck.

It will never happen but I would always prefer two divisions with balanced schedules. Two division winners and then next two teams with the best record make the playoffs. That way you could avoid dumb **** like an NL Central team being in the playoffs this year.

Snit just said that it was a good day to give the bullpen a blow. He still used 3 guys when he could've finished with just using Jackson.

The more I read and look into the stats of this Andujar kid from the Yankees, I'd be calling them about Adams + others right now. He could be a nice piece in the future for Atlanta, or at the very least, a stop gap for Maitan years from now.

He's just declined as he's gotten older like many starters do

Sadly it is for pitchers these days. I'd expect TJ for Julio in the next couple of years. And if the recovery goes well I'd expect him to return to his former stuff days for a few years before falling off more.

Maybe they should come up with a rule to have starting pitchers go on the 10 DL at least once a year. Twice would be even better

Dodgers are doing exactly that. They are using the 10 day DL as a way to essentially have a 7 man rotation.

No surprise they have the best record in the NL and will likely have the best record in the majors by the ASB.

Teams like the Rays and A's are just so much smarter than the rest of the league. Add money to that intelligence and you get the Dodgers and Yankees and Cubs and Astros.

The Rays turned 2 years of Smyly into Mallex. Mallex will allow them to trade Kiermaier for a huge haul of prospects. And the cycle of adding value will continue. Their model of dealing with pitching assets should be the blueprint for the Braves.

Snitker probably thinks Hursh is still in AAA.

I'd prefer to end interleague play.
