Pozzy brave here....I don't think a wild card is that much of a long shot next year. Folty had taken some nice steps to become a really nice pitcher. Hopefully Teheran will get over his suntrust jitters. And I consider this. Swansons sophomore slump, remember there was a lot of expectation put on him as a rookie this year.
With colon sucking ass and Johnson sucking ass, that's the main reason we are not right there in the race right now. Colon had 8 losses and I think Johnson has 7 blown saves? Convert half of those games and we are in great shape
Get off my lawn!
With us wanting to move Adams, can we afford to sit him vs lhp? If we don't play him vs lhp, that has to to hurt adams' stock right?
From MLB Trade Rumors:
The Braves aren’t done looking for a controllable starter after missing on Jose Quintana, per Jeff Passan of Yahoo Sports (links to Twitter). Atlanta pushed hard for the southpaw, per the report, with the team dangling Ozzie Albies as a headliner — though Passan’s source makes clear that talks never reached an advanced stage. It’s interesting to hear that Albies was offered up, but that was surely a prerequisite to get in the door on Quintana. Whether the intriguing young middle infielder could also be on the block in trade concepts involving other pitchers isn’t clear, but it seems that the Braves are still looking to be aggressive in adding arms for 2018 and beyond.
Chopping With The Braves And Rolling With The Tide
I would offer Anderson and Pache for Gray. If they say no, that's fine.
Blows my friggin mind...B.L.O.W.S it. Why draft 500 million pitchers and then try to make a trade with a top position player?? I'll say this...Coppy is all or nothing. He either makes a really good trade our a a really crap trade. Heck, our pitchers are doing better and the most inconsistent one is the one he won't let go of. Dang hearing this pisses me off!!
Trading Albies would be incredibly stupid though.

[QUOTE=zbhargrove;409057]You're pissed about a trade that didn't happen based on a report from a journalist that may or may not have a source telling the truth
I've defended Coppy plenty of times. If Ozzie was involved (you know he was because of what the White Sox were wanting)...it's as boneheaded as it gets. You can't defend stupid...and offering one of you few MLB ready positional stars (at a position you are about to have a hole)...is more than stupid.
