Looks like Roengardner to me. He broke his arm and throws hard now once it's healed

In minor league phase, Braves select RHR Enderson Franco from Marlins Double-A, lose LHR Mitch Lambson to Brewers
What is the difference between the major and minor league phase of the rule 5 draft? Can we just place this minor league guy in our farm system as opposed to having to keep Ruttltkttjthtktlt on our 25 man all year?
That's the rule in Rule 5. Must be kept on 25-man, returned, or work out a deal to keep his rights.
By the way, "Rut ski" has tweeted a big ol' lol over his current stats. He says he's now 6-5, 240, that he hasn't weighed 213 for at least five years, or when he was drafted.

So Jake Cave went one pick before Rutckyj...would we have drafted Cave if he would have been there? I follow prospects quite well, but have never heard of Rutckyj...assuming he projects as a reliever...for any of you in the know with him, who does he comp to?
Not likely following the Inciarte acquisition IMO. Ender gives us 3 CFs already on the 40-Man Roster who should see time on the big club's roster this season as it is with Inciarte, Bourn, and Mallex. Cave likely wouldn't have gotten much of a chance to get into a game during the first half other than the infrequent pinch-running opportunity. As painful as it will be to watch, my guess is they try to give Bourn ABs at times in the hope that SOMEONE might take some of his salary if they have hit on hard times and we'll eat 75% of whatever's left.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

Rutckyj pitched extremely well out of the bullpen between High-A and Double-A last year. He posted a 2.59 ERA and struck out a remarkable 32% of batters faced. Those numbers sound impressive, but keep in mind that just about every organization has a reliever or two with similar numbers in the low minors. Rutckyj is a 6-foot-5 lefty, which helps set him apart from the crowd a bit; but 23-year-old relief aces from A-Ball are a dime a dozen. Still, given the state of the Braves bullpen, it’s easy to see why they’d take a flier here.
