    Markakis has been mar kakis

    Just shows you that:

    1. Power still matters, and we don't have any
    2. Our pitching is baaaaad
the offense ranks firmly in the middle of the national league and MLB in general. You are singling out small sample sizes to fit your bias, I guess.

"You might not be able to tell from traditional park-factor data, but the new Atlanta ballpark appears to be much more hitter friendly than its predecessor. The fly balls hit by the Braves and their opponents to data haven’t been hit all that hard (“should have” resulted in .301 AVG-.846 SLG to date), but have actually resulted in much more production (.345 AVG-1.008 SLG, 137.9 Fly Ball Park Factor). In all of MLB, almost exactly 15.0% of fly balls hit between 95-100 mph have gone over the wall this season; 22.0% of such flies have done so in this new yard."

    It's the new launching pad
A month or two ago you suggested it would be the most hitter friendly park this side of Colorado. That's not even close to true.

I will lose my **** if they trade Freddie. If they care that little about winning then I might just quit baseball altogether until there is a salary cap.

Through the first two months of the season it's been a top 5 hitters park. On flyballs it's the 3rd best behind Coors and GAB. My hyperbole may have been off but SunTrust is very much a launching pad just like Fulton Co Stadium was. There should be no denying that's how it's played to this point.

Entering today the Braves ranked 20th in runs per game and team WRC+ in the majors. NL only they rank 10th in both categories. Not exactly the middle but certainly have separated themselves so far from the bottom 3rd of teams. I would say they are the worst of the "average" teams right now.

I never expected otherwise. The only reason Turner wasn't like that is they built the dang park deminsions to protect their pitchers.

I say no because I have an insane man crush on Freeman but it is an interesting thought.
There is no way coppy is doing this. It's not worth discussing

Maybe the yanks will give us a decent player for Adams

I don't disagree with you but think its an interesting thought experiment.

It's not but given we will probably only contend around 19-21 under Freddie's contract, it's worth considering. If all goes well by 19 and we land a good FA by then as well. And prospects develop well, etc.
