I don't why, but I have always had a soft spot for Chip. I admire his unbridled optimism.

    Joe is a grumpkin

Dickey dominating with a low pitch count, and Game7 pinch hits for him. Save your damn pen since you'll need every single one of them Wednesday.

...and Game7 brings in a guy apt to give up home runs -- including a game-tying home run yesterday.

I will look like a great move if we shut this game down. The pen has been good.. sometimes you have to trust your horses. I am not sure I would have pulled him though..

It's the 8th inning. Viz pitches the 8th inning. That's all you need to know in Stone Age baseball.

Sure. Why would we let someone in a 6 man rotation throw a complete game. Let's use the pen in the stretch of a lot of games without a day off where the pen can get a rest

depends on the score.. but straight out of Cox's book on how to win in the regular season but fail in the postseason.

**and ruin some BP arms to boot.

A move is correct or incorrect regardless of the outcome. Having said that, I have no problem not letting Dickey face the top of the lineup a 4th time.

Bringing in Viz was the correct move if the goal is to win the game tonight.

The real question becomes if Snit will ever put in a defensive sub for Kemp. Probably not after that amazing diving play!!

You could look at like we got a good start out of dickey, so get him out and get another H for viz... try to maximize both for trade value.

I'm sure rival FOs judge BP arms by the number of holds they rack up lol
