5th in 7 days...he didn't pitch on Aug 4 and Aug 8...still point well taken

It was very impressive. If the Braves can add Simkons and ManBan to Cabrera and Viz they will have a potentially elite BP.

Wonder if we will go with three catchers when Flowers gets back. It would probably require us to go with the standard 7 man pen for a while until rosters expand in September.

So, is this Jenkins dude legit?

Too early to tell. He seems to thrive off of weak contact and coming up with big pitches in tough situations, but who knows how long that will last after the league has a good bit of film on him. I think he needs to start pounding the strike zone a little more. But he does a good job keeping the ball on the ground and seems to have a great mentality on the mound. I hope he succeeds.

Personally, I think he is a full grade above Whalen and has a legit shot to stick as a back of the rotation guy. He could be a low 4 ERA guy that is useful while he is cheap.
