Okay, I guess I'm board. Jeremy Fernandez hype train leaving the station at 3:30. Choo Choo!
TC is pretty much garbage. The only thing that site is good for is making sure you didn’t miss any articles about the Braves that they linked.

They are roughly as intelligent as beater writers, but without the access to get quotes.

Not much to recall. Fifth professional season and he's still in Low-A. Had his best season last year in the GCL and seeing it was his third stint in the league, it's not exactly earth-shattering that he did well. I've read he has some decent tools, but they don't appear to be translating.

gohara’s doctor just said he’s the most in shape, physically fit pitcher he’s ever seen. said no one has ever been so healthy. so we’re probably just saving him for the playoffs.

And Muller doesn't? At least he has the production that matches his talent. Ynoa hasn't really produced at any level he's been at.

None of the three are anything like elite prospects.

Ynoa has an elite 2 pitch mix. His minor league stats arent that great because he is being developed as a starter and working a lot on his 3rd pitch. Plenty of elite relievers were failed minor league starters converted to the pen in the majors.

Which is what I think will end up happening to Wilson.
If we don’t end up using him in a trade package, I think he’s gonna be in the mix next season for our 8th/9th inning role.
He and Newk would be a nice combo in the back half.

Ynoa has a much better fastball. Ynoa/Cruz/Muller/Weigel I think are going to be elite relievers for us.

Most likely they all end up as relievers but it makes sense to give them every opportunity to develop as starters.

Ok but rotation spots are limited and we dont have the luxury for a few of them to learn on the job. We can look forward to being a perennial contender for the division title, now we need to build a winning playoff team. For that an elite bullpen would be nice. I have seen enough playoff bullpen meltdowns to last a lifetime.

We've seen that the Braves like letting young pitchers develop in the bullpen if they aren't ready to start in Atlanta, so I think we do have the luxury of letting them learn on the job.

And I believe they will prove too useful in those roles and unless there is a dire need in the rotation they will be high leverage relievers.

Then why not utilize them in that role now rather than as pieces you trade for rentals? If these guys can turn into Giles/Smith types, why don't you just go ahead and put them in the pen while you have a chance to win instead of screwing around? Get rid of Blevins and Tomlin and fill those spots with Wilson/Ynoa/Weigel/Muller/Davidson types who can give you multiple innings right now AND be rotated on the Atlanta-Gwinnett shuttle for the next few years?

If someone would make Snitker quit yanking the guys he's been given to go multiple innings after one inning regardless of how they're pitching, the need to get 6-7 innings out of every SP would be greatly reduced. Unless they've made the decision to turn Newk and Touki into high-leverage weapons for good, the argument against using some of these really good arms we have in the pen makes sense - if you plan to continue developing them as SPs, it is pretty stupid to use them as 1 inning RPs. However, if Snitker would use them the right way, that would go a long way towards "fixing" the pen. There's very little reason Newk or Touki should only pitch one inning when they're called on, and the same would apply to Wilson/Ynoa/Weigel/Muller/Davidson.

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I think using Newk for single innings is precisely what he needs. It’s a different mindset when your coming in to get a few outs as opposed to knowing you have to go multiple innings. You’re going to throw harder knowing you don’t have to throw 40-50 pitches.
