Thought there was some talk of touki making another start in Miami. Wonder if he gets scratched today.

Believe that was put to bed by Bryse Wilson starting.

Maybe. But I thought the talk was in addition to Wilson. To keep a true six man rotation rolling through this massive stretch of consecutive games.

    Yeah, this.

Touki couldn't be brought up for 10 days, so that made Wilson the guy. There was talk Touki would be recalled for the Miami series.

Should we start moving gohara, Wilson, and touki to pen to close out milb season? Or do you feel there's no reason to transistion and just move them to September pen?

No it wasn't. Writers in the know always speculated Touki would still pitch against Miami. Wilson was up because of the 10 day rule. Touki couldn't come up.

Can't wait to see what Touki does here. I suspect he throws another gem.. he has had a taste of the show, and you have to figure he is very motivated to get back as soon as possible... and for good.

If Touki is scratched here I hope he pitches Saturday vs. Chen.

Touki’s not starting in Miami. I know it was mentioned at some point, but that’s clearly not happening anymore after the Wilson start.

The start that makes sense for a AAA arm to make is Sunday in Miami to push Gausman back a day. Folty and Sanchez are already going on 5 days rest for their starts on Friday and Saturday.

If Touki pitches today he obviously can't pitch Sunday. Since Wilson was just sent down, he can't be the guy on Sunday either.

Fried threw 86 pitches on the 17th, so he might be the guy to go on Sunday and push everyone back a day. That's who I'd bet on making the start if it isn't Gausman.

Yeah. Probably time to demote him to Mississippi to get his kinks worked out.

He got sent back down for Reed then the Gwinnett catcher came up for Reed when Zuk got hit by a pitch in Pittsburgh.

So Wilson can't pitch this weekend because of the 10 day rule then correct?
