Anybody have a subscription to Perfect Game? Can they post full article? A few top draft prospects... a lot of Ga boys. Josh Lowe, Alex Speas and Taylor Trammell are having very good senior years.

Balder is predicting the Friars.. I think at this point, he is not signing until July 2nd and is just not going to announce anything until he signs. Personally think Braves or Padres with the Friars holding the edge... especially since the Braves family fiasco

I still feel the Braves will offer more than SD so they can bring him in with Maitan and Guttierez. At least that's what I'm hoping for.

No. He only enrolled starting this semester, unfortunately. I don't think he'll be eligible until 2018 draft.

It's very possible the Phils and Braves fight it out for the top pick again this year, so he is certainly a possibility.

No that'd be the 2017 draft

Was actually surprised when he chose to do that. Made me wonder if the indications he was getting were that we weren't likely to consider him. Even so, he'd have been a perfect candidate as an over-slot signee at #40 if he'd have stayed in high school this spring.

Riley Pint or A. J. Puk at #3, Beer at #40, and Chris Okey at #43 would have been a nice set of additions to the pile.

Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

swap Benson for Beer and it still looks good to me.. Although, I am questioning Pint and Puk at #3.. Used to be all in.. now one foot out..

Yeah, really surprised me at the time. I have some friends that play on the Clemson team, they said his family pushed him hard to get a college education and they've been Clemson fans for a long time (apparently). Graduating HS early was a compromise so he could get into pro ball faster, he's apparently a really smart kid. He stayed back a year when he switched between public/private schools because he had some anxiety issues or something.

Kyle Lewis hit his 10th homerun yesterday with 6 more rbi's. Now batting .467 on the year. Gonna be hard not to take him at 3 if he keeps this up.

Agreed. He's turning it into a no-brainer, IMO. There could eventually be some concern that he's not there at 3, but I think Groome is a lock for one of those 2 spots, so there's only one other spot to worry about, and I still doubt he's gone by then.

Yeah, it's getting to the point where I'd be ecstatic to get him or Groome at 3. I just want one other guy to impress me like they have and I'll be happy on draft day.

I mean, if worst-case scenario is Corey Ray or Blake Rutherford, I'm ok with that.

Ray has had an impressive year so far. I hope Rutherford has a big year so we have more options in case Lewis does go at 2.

With multiple draft writers saying Lewis would be a reach at 3, maybe we could use that and him being a Georgia kid to encourage him into taking a significant amount under slot from us. We could use that leftover money with our supplemental first rounder and our second rounder, somewhat similar to how the Astros got Daz Cameron last year.

If we can get Kyle Lewis and get him for under-slot, I'll be beyond thrilled.

ETA: And as I say this, he hits another bomb. He good.

I like Ray but he's more of a leadoff type, and that's fine but we have alot of those as it is. We need power in our system and Lewis has that.

Big question about Ray was hitting lefties. He homered vs a lefty today. https://twitter.com/uoflbaseball/sta...35117945491457
