Your analysis is pretty spot on.

Kluber was a consistent 5-7 win guy the last 5 seasons, and had a disaster 2019 after a line drive broke his arm, and he strained his abdomen while rehabbing.

While Kluber is almost certainly in his decline phase, his injuries weren't arm related (meaning from throwing a baseball), and he is still likely a good pitcher. No team is going to pay retail to acquire a guy coming back from injury, and the Indians would be foolish to sell low on him.

Selling low on Kluber would be about as dumb as selling low on Inciarte.

Well the only thing that could make a trade more likely is if Cleveland has further payroll constraints like what they went through last year. I honestly don't know where they stand this off season. But they probably want to try and compete the next couple of years before inevitably losing Lindor.

I think the more analytically driven teams have a preference for a young guy who doesn't have the preconceptions that veteran managers might bring to the job. I know this is an overgeneralization. There may be some old dudes out there who are very open to new ways. But age and experience will work against managerial candidates for some teams.

Looks like the Mets messed up their hire again. Some people are saying they wanted Girardi, some people are saying they didn't and purposefully waited for Phily to hire Girardi. The logic here is they cold then hire someone else despite fans wanting Girardi and then using that as an excuse that they just missed out on him.

Not a surprise, their problems arent manager related, more so FO and roster problems. Gabe wasnt perfect, but he was just the scapegoat of their roster issues.

They had more issues than manager for sure but Gabe wasn't good. You need more than understanding of stats. You need to know to not do things like bench players by text.

I’d venture to say the market has tipped a little too far in that regard at this point.

Wash has not been mentioned as a viable manager candidate to my knowledge for other manager jobs.

I'm glad he is staying with the Braves at least for now.

The open manager jobs are being filled quickly and thus the probabilities of Wash leaving are going down.

And keeping Wash in the fold, when AA finally pulls the plug on Snits, Wash will be here to take Snits place at least in a temp mode.

Fredi left the Fish to pursue a managers job some where.. He's being over looked at every turn in the road.
