I've figured out the Phillies' defensive problem--nobody has coached them to catch the ball with the front of their glove.
Good defense by Philly in the last 2 outs. Not sure i'd pull Pivetta, he's pitched well.
He came in 0-4 with a 5.97 ERA in his past six starts. He has pitched more than five innings just once in that six-start stretch. He isn't pitching better tonight, just we are chasing where others don't against him.
Pivetta owns us. Any pitcher with a decent curve does.
