The farm look really good tonight! Demeritte and Davidson are so frustrating, plenty of power but 0 consistency getting on base.

Have any scouts or prospect guys mentioned anything about Alexander? I only know he’s a college draft pick from the late rounds that hasn’t stopped hitting.

He was talked about quite a lot in the draft thread. Some had him going as high as rounds 3-5 but few thought he'd sign as he tore up JUCO and had a pretty firm commitment to Central FL.

Supposedly, CJ is a weird cat. I wish I could find that post but the highlights of it are:

    - He didn't want to go to most major colleges, which is how he ended up in JUCO
    - He didn't want to go to some major league teams
    - He has the talent to possibly be a star

He's definitely a Sleeper Alert guy though. People that have watched his film have said "no way he's a real 20th round guy talent wise, more like a 3rd-5th round guy".
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.
