Rio and Santana might end up getting some high leverage pinch hitting assignments in September. Rio has been hot lately. This has been a curious year for him. one observation about pinch hitting...it helps the player stay sharp if he gets a game every week or so

This is a good point.... I think they'll give Rio some games and let Ozzie sit some as he has been such a horrid funk....
And with Rio, I actually like our bench now. Duvall has been hitting the ball pretty well- he's hit a few that would've been gone in most parks recently, and has put up some decent at bats. Charlie is solid, Rio I think is solid and has been on fire... Zuk/Tyler is a good bat in a late inning situation
