Sounds as if we're trying to orchestrate getting two of the three highest-ranked HS arms. Groome is apparently in a freefall, and changing his commitment to Chippola would allow him to be eligible again next year if no one pays his asking price (reported to be $4 million +). Assuming our "deal" with Anderson is for $4 million or less, we could easily afford both.
Anderson/Groome/Kieboom would be a helluva haul.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
Yep. I'll even spin it a little further. I'm willing to bet that WHOEVER the Braves decide to take at #3, $40, and #44 will be far more successful than whoever you think they should take with those picks.
Step out on a limb and impress everyone with your vast knowledge, genius - who would YOU take with those three picks?
What's that - you don't know 44 players eligible for the draft???

not that I'm saying he's correct in calling you out for "spin" but your rebuttal wager is kind of a hedge

I definitely see the strategy I just hope it doesnt backfire. If the Braves can convince Groome to scare other teams off and take 4 million at 40 then it's beneficial to him to bc there is no guarantee his arm doesn't fall off next year and he never cashes in.
Groome is not falling all the way to 40. He won't fall below the Nats who could somehow end up with the best prospect in the draft once again.

So Lewis is slipping because of concerns.. one being poor work out...
yet two days ago...
@StokkeTommy
The #Braves worked out potential 1-1 OF Kyle Lewis today and came away extremely impressed. Hard to see him slipping past No. 3. #MLBDraft
this is why it is important not to get worked up over this. A bunch of GMs and Scouts spreading rumors to throw the others off their scent.

There's obviously a chance that taking Ian Anderson could become an amazing deal for us, but if that's the route we go, I'm going to assume the absolute worst until 40 proves me wrong. Seems too risky.
Braves told Lewis to workout like a stiff with the other teams so he can be the next hometown area RF kid for us.
