That's a non-genius analysis. Stop posting on this board. Derp

I'm not calling myself right. I didn't definitibely say a copy made a mistake or a great move. I actually was a big fan of Mallex.

Then what in the hell are you even talking about? Why did you bother to make that comment?

I swear, you have to be the dumbest person I have ever tried to have a discussion with.

But Coppy is a genius, so it will all work out.

He was an OK asset with some potential, but we eventually found out where other organizations had him pegged (ie. much lower than members of a Braves fan board). The "trade Enciarte" refrain at this forum was at best, premature, and at worst moronic.

And what is Gohara if not a pitcher with a history of getting injured on top of makeup/conditioning issues?

I completely understand and accept the fact your limited intellect leaves you totally incapable of separating the process from the results, but even you can see the hypocrisy in your statement? Actually, I doubt you can, never mind.

Curious to see if we traded Mallex at peak value. He'd be a helluva 4th OF for us. Light years better than what we have now. We'll see on Gohara. I thought another high risk/high reward pitcher was kind of superfluous. I would have preferred we tried to trade Mallex for a C or 3B.

Gohard is not on a MLB roster where we need guys to eat innings so we don't bring up prospects that are not ready.. Even you with your intellect can distinguish between the two.. I hope..

The trade and the perception of Mallex's upside are two separate issues. Can't speak to the trade, as it will take time to assess. However, will say that the opinion was expressed by me to keep both Mallex and NCRT, partly because speed had been a definite organizational for 20+ years. Obviously, the game has changed, as we don't see the likes of Vince Coleman around the NL anymore either, but it doesn't have to be that way. It would've been fine by me if Mallex had been retained as 4th OF or given opportunity to play everyday in Gwinnett. Think he had options left?

Anyway, my point was that NCRT was really good . As such, might be just the type of player to construct the roster around and could possibly get better when they're ready for serious contention. Meanwhile, there were still loud voices on this board to trade him. Somebody insisted that these two were "the same type of player." Having similar skills sets is NOT the same as same level of ability, but we shouldn't let that stand in the way of Chop Country groupthink.

The bottom line is that Gohara right now has more value than Mallex ever had, and he probably has more value right now than Smyly.

So we absolutely made the right decision; the only question now is what the right decision with Gohara is - trade him at some point while his value is high, or believe in him as a piece for us and ride it out.

Now, now - that's not what His Excellency says.
Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I said nothing of Gohara you petty little man. I just find it hilarious you think the Braves somehow failed by not getting Smyly, and when he gets injured, you completely disregard it, like him getting injured is something completely unexpected, despite the fact that he has a history of a significant injury.

Your trolling has reached new levels.

It should be noted that every pitcher carries significant injury risk. Smyly. Gohara. Colon. All of them.
