Nobody would think twice if this didn’t happen to one of heir beloved players. I don’t remember this place reacting when Hamels plunked Harper years ago. Only reason you care now is because it’s a Braves player.

I think niner is missing the point of outrage here. Acuña didn’t act like a punk. Didn’t showboat. Didn’t instigate confrontation. He just played baseball really well this series and had all of baseball watching last night. Urine was jealous or scared or both and decided he deserved the spot light and deprived everyone who was watching. He is a punk ass bitch that will be suspended.
And Urine’s excuse that his pitch ran in too far was bs. One he doesn’t own a 98 mph cutter. 2 the pitch litteraly start right at acuña back. I am 100% positive that was aimed for his back not an elbow. But it doesn’t take away from the fact that Urine is a pus who is afraid to compete.

If Urine steps into the box against us. Yes. Maybe not 98 to the upper body.
There is a difference in code of baseball and being afraid of competing. I don’t care that he hit acuña. It is why he hit him.
If acuña was excessively showboating or trash talking. Then maybe a fastball to the butt is deserved. But that wasn’t the case.

I have always thought hitting a batter simply because he hit a homerun was a cowardly act. I appreciate a lot of the old school mentality but that is one attribute of it that I will be happy to see disappear. If a hitter has been beating you repeatedly at the plate then get him out. Don’t take the cowardly way out and hit him with a pitch.
Yeah there is a difference between throwing at someone for showing you up and them just beating you.
Agreed. I've never understood why the retaliation for someone flipping a bat or pimping a HR is to throw a baseball really freaking hard at them. How about next time you strike them out (which will happen more often than they'll hit a HR off you), you pimp the crap out of it?
