Gomez makes a positioning catch. Could easily have been an RBI Double.

Does anyone on the board prefer the DH? I understand the arguments in its favor but, for me,...yuk

Cool. Let's grab some drinks. I go to Wesley Chapel every other week to train at Saddlebrook Tennis. I actually stay closer to Zephyrhills when I'm there.

For teams prepared for it specifically its fine. The Braves aren't...well technically they could be but they choose to not hit Tucker at all.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

I don't like it, but the NL is literally the only league anywhere that doesn't use it. A matter of time.

I absolutely hate the fact that you're probably correct.

A man on third with no outs. Albies, Acuna, and Freddie can't drive him in.

I'm not really a buyer in the RBI stat, but Acuna might truly be one to focus on in RISP situations. One of his few issues in the minors last year was he got too excited and got away from his approach when runners were on.

Too many pitches through 5 but another solid start from Newcomb. He's really impressed so far this season.

    Really impressive.

As soon as he realizes that he doesn’t have to go to 3-2 count to every hitter and throw close to 100 pitches by the 5th, he will be money

If he has his control issues under somewhat control, Sean Newcomb is actually good. He's going to do what Braves media was always thinking Mike Foltynewicz would do.

Don't love sending Newcomb out for another inning here but hopefully he proves me wrong.
