With all the crazy possibilities that could end the season with ties we once again don't get it. Maybe one year.

At least all the other teams we needed to win won today. The Rays game likely won't matter now, so I think the Braves are locked into the #3 pick for the 2nd straight year.

Rays and Padres both will end with 68 wins. Should drop us to 4th.

If Cincy win then we will get the 4th pick. Not terrible.

You're right. I forgot all about San Diego.

#4 pick isn't bad, but when you hold the #1 spot the longest throughout the year, it's disappointing.

If anything is disappointing about not getting a higher pick, it's the amount of money we get to spend. Atlanta was going to take another pitcher anyway. I'm more thrilled with how they played the second half of the year. Big League results still matter.

I feel like we birdie the last 4 holes to shoot an 82 and now we have to wait an entire winter to get back out on the course.

I wouldn't worry. The Hot Stove League ought to be broiling this winter.

Unless you count Game 5 of the 1996 World Series.

Yes, that one was 1-0. Petitte beat Smoltz thanks to an unearned run.

The final regular season game there was a 3-1 win over the Expos.

Surprised that J. Upton took the called third in that situation. Too close to take. But man, he surely had a second half of the season. 22 HRs and .930 OPS.
