Very surprised they added Ynoa, but I don't hate it. I really wouldn't have been surprised if an Orioles type stuck him in the bullpen for a year to stash him.

Kiley on Twitter just now: I saw Ynoa up to 100 mph this year with a heavy sinker, flashed above average offspeed at times. I think a rebuilding team would’ve taken a chance there, if unprotected. Fits Miguel Diaz mold that SD picked in the past.
I'm not surprised... lots of people sleeping on Ynoa... he wasn't much thought of when we traded for him because he hadn't really had any success yet. But he started showing real flashes in our system and he has some crazy raw stuff that led him to be a pretty high dollar international signing when he was really young. I'm telling you, he's going to be good.
I think Graham will get picked
I don't have an issue with this. If I had to guess I'd assume all but Weigel are traded this wintger anyways.
AA likes to use the 40 man roster as a shuttle of arms negating Ynoa, we value catching defense which could hurt Ajax, and Webb could be lost in a numbers crunch of similar arms.
alex jackson...i guess he's still young?

Someone may take a flyer and give him a look in spring training, but that 1.62 WHIP (1.84 in AA) he had at two stops last season is a bit of a red flag. I think we have to remember that he started out as a catcher in college, so pitching wasn't his primary position until he hit the pro level. Still has some developing to do and maybe someone sees some easily correctable flaws.
I see Jackson as similar to Ynoa. First off, someone probably sees him as an OF who can play C as opposed to the other way around. I could see a rebuilding AL team picking him and making him an OF/C/DH and seeing if his bat would carry.
A little surprising that all four guys were added. Bound to be a trade coming - the 40 after today are...
SPs (14)
Folty, Gausman, Newcomb, Teheran, Touki
Soroka, Gohara, Wright, Allard, Wilson
Weigel, Parsons, Sanchez, Ynoa
RPs (14)
Vizcaino, Minter, O'Day (no options), Venters (no options), Winkler, Biddle (no options), Fried, Sobotka,
Freeman (no options), Carle (no options), Dayton, Jackson (no options), Webb, McCreery
Cs (3)
Flowers, Lopez, Jackson
Infielders (5)
Freeman, Albies, Swanson, Camargo, Ruiz
Outfielders (4)
Acuna, Inciarte, Duvall, Culberson
If/when they sign a corner OF, C, RP, and bench piece, the easy drops (on the surface become Freeman, Luke Jackson, Sanchez, and Parsons IMO. Will still you to drop someone else if Riley is called up at some point.

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

I saw Ynoa a couple of times this year. He didn't always have his best but when he did he was filthy. I'm glad they protected him. I think he and Wentz are both underrated because of the slew of guys that are ahead of them.
Go get him!
