Hope you weren't liking Bo Porter on MLB Network. He just joined the Braves as 3B Coach.

Huh? What? So Fredi IS staying. That's apparent. Meh....Gross....However, if you're the chef I guess you need to choose your own ingredients.

I like a lot. It would be good if they could keep Dascenzo around in the farm system, as he's been a helluva minor league manager. But Porter knows the Nationals ujp and down and is as good a choice for the Braves as Pat Corrales was for the Nats a few years back.

The disturbing part is apparently they are definitely keeping Fredi Gonzalez. They wouldn't hire a new 3B coach if they were going to fire the manager.

I'm not sure the story is true. I can't find it any where else.

Betting it's a classic case where MLB wanted the Braves to wait until there were no games going on to make an announcement. But MLB network is kind of high profile and someone there was bound to blab ahead of time.

Hard to grump about that hire if true.

I mean, it's pretty obvious Fredi isn't going to be fired. I honestly thought we had already moved on from that.
    thank you weso1!

I'm trying to decide which MLS team I'm gonna start rooting for. Cause I'll need something to entertain me next summer. Currently the Revolution are my local team, but maybe I move back to NJ and the Bimbos or Red Bulls become my team. Or do I root for an USMNT heavy team like Sporting KC or Houston Dynamo. Or a team like Colorado who has 2 young US internationals. Lots of hard choices to make since baseball clearly isn't in my best interest to follow. maybe if they extend Jason and Justin I'll have something to be excited about.

Oh, get over it. I don't think he should keep his job either, but there are worse things that could happen to this club than Fredi sticking around. Yeah, I said it.

I'm more disappointed that Wren is being scapegoated.

They are at least making very solid moves around Fredi to this point.

It isn't. But my interest in the Braves is likely dying. Don't know if I can really invest my interest in a team that I know won't live up to it's abilities unless all the other teams in the division **** the bed.

So you think if we fire Fredi then that's going to fix all of our problems?

Nope. But I think keeping him on fixes nothing and I'd rather try to fix something than just hope everything breaks our way which is seemingly what it takes.

The one thing I noticed about the photo is that the dude in the middle is the only one wearing a tie. And it is hideous.

Did the bromance all get together and decide that they weren't going to wear ties that day? It seems odd that none of them decided to wear a tie. You'd think one of them would have worn a tie. Maybe I'm the only one.
    thank you weso1!
