If I had to lay money down I'd say it's Javier Baez. He can play 2b, SS, and 3b average or above, has right handed pop, and is cheap.
What would yours be?

Baez + Soler
for
Miller + Maybin +/- a mid level pitching prospect
We have an excess of outfielders if Olivera is moving to left. Maybin makes the most sense to trade.
Hate to see Maybin get traded so soon.
He wanted to come here, he's improved. I know he'd have little value as a corner OF, but just hate to see him go so soon especially. He's been on terrible teams his entire career, would like to have seen him be here when we finally go to the playoffs again.

Miller extension is next. That or a multi yr reliever contract that will defy logic

Maybin plus pitching for a top 50 hitting prospect.

I'm hearing Miller for A.J. Pollack. Both have three years of control.
How do we to about subtracting a pitching prospect from that deal? Do we agree that as part of the deal, we must cut a pitching prospect from the system? Or do we give them the value left over from Miller after taking away from him the value of a mid level prospect? Or do they also have to give us a pitching prospect, but we convince them of this sneakily?
In all seriousness, there's no way we're getting both, and to do it, it would require something like Teheran, Newcomb, and Sims. At least.

He keeps saying we arent going to be that bad and everyone doesnt know what they are talking about but he said the same **** last offseason. I fully expect us to lose 94 games and have him come out declaring victory because he said we wouldnt lose 95 games again.

Tough to tell at the moment - I'd imagine things will be pretty quiet for a few days to give the Freeman mess time to cool down (or breathe).
Given all the pieces and confirmation that payroll will be going up significantly in 2017, I wouldn't dismiss a deal for Todd Frazier out of hand. $7.5 million salary in his last year of control, and one of those guys that seems pretty convincing when he's asked about money - he sounds like he expects to be paid what's "fair", but isn't looking to break the bank and put the team in a position where they can't be competitive.
Would Miller and Sims get it done? Maybe.
Maybin/Smith, Markakis, Freeman, Frazier, Pierzynski, Olivera, Aybar, Peterson sure would give you a much better offense in a hurry.

Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
