I will add that it was appropriate for the FBI to take an interest in the contents of the dossier, with the provision that the allegations and the reliability of the sources for those allegations should have been matters for investigation and verification.
My understanding is that the dossier material is analogous to raw, unprocessed intelligence data. It is up to the analysts (such as those in the FBI) to properly analyze them. Perhaps they should be discarded. Perhaps not.

The dossier is raw intelligence. Some of the details are wrong. But there is a lot in there that anticipated information that was subsequently revealed.

I think you need to look at the dates when the Dossier was written to understand how it anticipated what was subsequently revealed.

Uh, it's not material that the ****ing campaign manager had an undisclosed 10-figure financial relationship with a Russian puppet political party? Or, as we've subsequently learned, that he was deep in the hole to a Russian oligarch and sought to use his position to "get whole?" How is that extraneous?
