SCOTUS reinstates the 'unconstitutional' travel ban.

“Let others wallow in Watergate, we are going to do our job,” said Richard Nixon with typical unearned self-righteousness in July 1973. By then, more than a year had passed since a slapstick posse of five had been caught in a bungled burglary at the Democratic National Committee headquarters in the Watergate complex. It had been nine months since Bob Woodward and Carl Bernstein reported in the Washington Post that the break-in was part of a “massive campaign of political spying and sabotage” conducted by all the president’s men against most of their political opponents. Now the nation was emerging from two solid months of Senate Watergate hearings, a riveting cavalcade of White House misfits and misdeeds viewed live by 71 percent of the public.

The chief difference between Dick and Donald, as of now (and which has been noted ... ad nauseam), is that the body of evidence presented at the outset of Watergate was much, much more compelling than anything that has (as of yet) been delivered to the American public with respect to 'Trumpgate'.
Everybody forgets that Nixon's actual fate was sealed by the tapes, not the crimes he orchestrated.
Oh really ?
That isn't what I or history remembers.
Perhaps you should bone up on 1971-74 then get back to us.
Frank Rich article posted would be a good start
As soon as it was revealed there were tapes (spring/summer 73) , and people knew what was in the tapes. Then it was just a matter of time.
The tapes became known over a year after the break in at DNC and over two since the break in at Danial Ellsbergs psychiatrists office.
The SCOTUS ruled Nixon had to release the tapes roughly a week before he resigned.
Also one article of impeachment had to do with the illegal bombing of Cambodia
You can look it up.

2 things you never ask
First is how much property a lady owns and second a gentleman's age.
Let's just say I was doing active duty in 1971

I am saying the argument made by the Nixon people of witch hunt carried more umpff than Trump can muster.
Timeline Watergate to Russian Collusion all they had was a Cuban with G Gordon Liddy's phone number.
Who knows what the Grand Jury or the closed sessions in the Senate Intel hold
I suspect once ACHA is Congressionally resolved this will again pick up steam

Interesting how trump is trying to trivialize collude and obstruction so when those words come up against him his supporters will just say see everyone does it.
Somehow Obama colluded against Hillary.

From what I understand the only modification to the original order is that citizens from banned countries can still enter the United States if they have a "bona fide" connection to an American entity (family/work). This makes sense and should have been included in the initial framework of the ban anyways.
FWIW Thomas/Gorsuch/Alito explicitly disagreed with this modification in a dissenting opinion. They would have reinstated the ban as it was.
I've not read anything about the court reviewing the issue again until its next term (fall). By then the ban will have already expired, so it's actually unlikely that the court even hears the case.
