    He has played 3b before, but no idea how well

    If BMac is ok, and Sanchez keeps pitching well, i dont think they bring up Gohara until an injury or if Sanchez implodes.

    I'd imagine next week Acuna is called up.
    Dont refer to McCarthy as BMac again plz.

    Yea, PB cannot hit despite a few hits lately (only .158 BA) and Culberson while very good defensively at short, he isn't much of a hitter either. Plus both would likely clear waivers IMO.

    I hope they don’t bring anyone up before Tuesday. I have Gwinnett tickets for Monday.

    Whether it makes sense or not, I find it hard to believe that Snitker will move Ender out of the leadoff spot for more than a few days until he snaps out of it. Not saying I don't understand the temptation though.

    Dansby's hit well enough to deserve to be moved up, but having him down in the 6th, 7th, or 8th hole has actually helped - not having 3 black holes at the bottom of the lineup has been a big help in the good start to the season since opposing Pitchers haven't been able to take a long breath after getting through Tucker.
    Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...

    Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?

    He'll be the starting third baseman in Atlanta tomorrow.

    Acuna on the other hand...it might be the Super 2 cutoff at this point now, weeks later.
    Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

    I'll make a board bet that Acuna is up long before the Super 2 cutoff.

    I'll set the date around mid May. I'm pretty darn confident that he will be called up before then. So lets say May 15th. Super 2 is usually some time in June.

    The excitement over Camargo getting back is a little puzzling. He’s unlikely to produce anything that Flaherty hasn’t. I view that one as not a particularly portentous promotion.

    Camargo could give the braves the best IF defense in mlb

    You think?

    I’m not sure he’s Brooks Robinson out there.

    I'm not really getting it either. Doesn't walk a ton (Career 6.6 BB% in the minors) His K rate isn't bad but for his power and BB rate it isn't that good (Career 13.4 K% in the minros)

    I think he tops off as a Yangervis Solarte or Eduardo Nunez type. Not a bad guy to have around at all. But hardly a game changer.

    The one thing that bothers me a bit about the analysis of young players is that the conclusions never predict a breakout. When a player has a substantial body of work in their 20's in the major leagues then I could live with a result that says Camargo isn't anything. However, we have seen a surge in his power the last two years and his contact profile was always solid. Couple that with his good defense at third and you have a much more sustainable positive force than Flahrety.

    This is like saying whats the big deal with bringing up Acuna. Could he possibly produce more than Tucker already has? Of course not - Its just a better bet that he outproduces Tucker moving forward.

    Ryan flaherty career stats:
    1318 PA
    .221/.291/.358
    foWAR = -31.5
    fdWAR = 7.2
    fWAR = 2.0

    So you and southcack think RF is better than camargo? I disagree
