I guess. That’s what folks seemed to disagree with.

I’d put it at about a 20% chance...

I suppose now is as good of a time as anything.

I thought 75 wins, but I did say that if a few things broke right, we could see a trickle up to .500 (said so on braves-nation).

More importantly than the actual wins was to actually see it be bolstered by the young players and players that will be there for longer than that year on the roster. It didn't happen last year, hopefully it does this year.
Aggression with prospects is fine, but being stupid is not. There should be a way to find a happy medium between a Pirates like idea of being overly cautious with prospects and going stupidly fast with prospects.

Not quite 90 but 82-83 definitely possible. The offense is playoff caliber with Acuna in the middle if he is as advertised. This team will go as far as the starting pitching will take them. I have faith in Mac, I want to have faith in JT and is due for a good year and that usually means a shot at 15 wins. So it comes down to Folty, Sanchez and maybe Wisler. He could take this chance and run with it. This was a good team he dominated tonight.

I also think starting pitching is the key and I like what I'm seeing

During the offseason I said I thought the starting pitching was going to be good and wanted to bring in arms for the pen. I still worry about the pen but there isn't much we can do at this point but hope we have organic development.

some of the starters will transition to the pen later this season...if we are above .500 at the deadline I could see us picking up some bullpen help

I also think starting pitching is the key and think so far they are doing what they need to do, but I’m still skeptical.

They are all pretty questionable bets to sustain though they were all pretty decent chances. Loving it so far.

You're adding Gohara and Soroka to that mix though.

I don't think that helps in high leverage spots.

I love Carle but not sure how real that is. I think Winkler is for real. Minter is obvious. I'm half concerned about Vix. Freeman is fine.

Other than the above there is not really a high leverage guy and only Minter I'm comfortable calling a legit high leverage arm.

Can you really count on them to take a starting workload through September?

But yeah, I think you’ll see some change in the rotation as year goes on

Gohara is already having his innings limited and I suspect they are being real cautious with his 'injury' to manage that workload already.

Soroka is just a worhorse and is ready to take the jump to 180-190 IP.

My hope is that AA starts using the 10 day DL as other teams have in the past and we get all of these guys needed rest.

Even though its a "legit" injury you have already seen this with Sanchez. Coming from the Dodgers I fully expect AA to exploit this the best he can. Dude is no dummy.

I'm not sure how quick AA will be to use Soroka this year. All indications are he wants to keep guys down longer. I get the feeling Soroka won't be up until much later this season, if at all.

Soroka is going to be in Atlanta this year. It will be after the Super 2 deadline.

If the Braves are still above 500 and playing well come July Soroka makes the team better. There were scouts talking that Soroka was already one of our top 3 starters. At this point he might be our best starter. Well, after Wisler of course.

With him pitching well its hard to do it but I would like to give McCarthey a break once Gohara is up. He is the guy we need to manage.
