No hit for 9 innings and win. Baller.
Rich Hill throws a no hitter (could've been a perfect game if not for an error by the 3rd baseman in the 9th) through 9 innings with 10 Ks. Came back out to pitch the 10th and gives up a walk off solo home run. Brutal.
Rich Hill was on the worst first half rotisserie baseball staff in history along with Aaron Nola. Both playing much better now thank you very much.
I fear I've infected young Folty now.
Why don't the dodgers or Yankees go ahead and get Stanton?
Byron Buxton with 4-5 today with 3 jacks.
Superstar.
Is only 23, was the #1 prospect in the game, true 5 tool talent... 165 wRC+ in the second half. Is it really much of a stretch to say something's possibly clicked?
Since July 1, he's putting up a .344/.386/.617 slash line with a .416 wOBA and a 162 wRC+... for the year he has 24 SB compared to only 1 CS. I don't know if its a mirage or not, but the talent is there and he could very well be developing into a superstar no matter what your quippy little sarcastic posts try to convey.

If people want to anoint him a superstar because of 1-2 month sample; have at it. He may become one, but he still has some major flaws and is young, but not unreasonable young for the game. Even in the 2nd half, hes at 5%/23% walk/k rate. He's BABIP was .500 for a month which will help numbers. He has a 70 wRC+ vs. righties on the year....
Like I said, he may get there, but he is nowhere close right now.
"Yes, I did think Aldrich was good UNTIL I SAW HIM PLAY. "- thethe
He OPS'd 1.010 over his last 29 games last year. He's OPS'd 1.011 in August this year (27 games) and was at .973 in the 10 games he played in July.
So he's sustained it for slightly longer at this point this year than he did to end last year, but yes, he basically put up a stretch like this last year, too, and was still horrific for the first 3 months of this season.
I've seen quite a bit of Buxton this summer. He has really stepped it up. Shortened up his batting stroke considerably and can now drive the outside pitch that he was consistently swinging-and-missing at to the opposite field. Tremendous athlete. Probably the fastest sprinter in the big leagues, but he's still pretty raw when it comes to applying his tools. May kill himself running into fences. Probably one of those guys who will be an above-average major league player, but will have stretches where he looks like a minor leaguer. Molitor did not handle him well the first half of the season. He started to play well when he was moved down in the batting order and working with the hitting coach.
If this is true, I've lost some respect for the Rangers
Chopping With The Braves And Rolling With The Tide
JUp informed the Tigers he was going to opt out of the rebuild, and was trade to the Angels for essentially nothing. Now the Angels have a month to persuade him not to opt out.
This is the type of move Kemp in LF prevented the Braves from making. Instead of a 3-5 WAR guy in LF, the Braves get a 0 win guy in LF for the same salary.
Maybin traded
