Your mistake was the attempt to engage him in thoughtful discussion surrounding politics. There are some things he can/will genuinely discuss, his remarks to cajun on volunteering were accurate and well spoken. But once politics enter the discussion his eyes glaze over and he becomes a LOL GOP bot. It just isn't worth the cyber ink.

Why do you find that funny? You have to admit that there is an alarming pattern of abuse around this WH.

A former top aide to Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) accused President Trump’s White House of protecting abusers Thursday after former staff secretary Rob Porter resigned over domestic abuse allegations.
“The bottom line of this is that they protected an abuser,” Amanda Carpenter said on CNN’s “The Lead with Jake Tapper.” “And guess what is a job qualification to work in this White House? It’s to protect someone who talked favorably about sexual assault on the 'Access Hollywood' tape.”
“There is a pattern of behavior,” Carpenter continued. “They kept Corey Lewandowski on staff as a campaign manager after he bruised a reporter. This is the same president who laughed along with Howard Stern as he says disgusting things about his daughter. … They protect abusers; there’s no way of getting around it.”
“If you tolerate people who do this to the people they save they love, what will they do to the people they don’t know?”

How can you expect to hold lower level aides to a level of scrutiny that the POTUS himself could not pass?

I have to admit that there’s a pattern?
No. I don’t.
Trump blocks the Dems memo. I'm surprised they didn't re-write it and release it. In for a penny, in for a pound.

You all should be thinking about what these immoral,
law-breaking men do after they leave the White House
with state secrets many hostile parties would find valuable.

Another White House Staffer Resigns Over Domestic Abuse Allegations.
If it's not a pattern, perhaps it's a prerequisite. At this rate there's not gonna be anyone left.
Like Amanda Carpenter says, protecting abusers "is a job qualification of this White House."

I really don't see how it's controversial to suggest Trump has a tendency to support people that are probably guilty of the things they'd been accused of, and that it fits in with his fetish for loyalty. That need for loyalty, while maybe a positive in some contexts, is one of the uglier parts of his presidency for me and has led to many of the issues he's run into.

This is a clear pattern whether some here like it or not and Donald Trump, per his own words and public actions, is as guilty of it as anyone and deserves to be held accountable like anyone else.
Kelly said to have offered to resign. The White House denies everything. I think Kelly issued that statement about Rob Porter being "a man of true integrity and honor" knowing it would backfire tremendously. He had to. He wants out. Another rat abandoning the ship.
