Has there EVER been a statement and question a certain someone should absolutely never have made and asked publicly more than...
Kinda pathetic to see yourself as a message board knight in shining armor. How impotent does someone have to be in real life to resort to playing hero on a message board?
@mlbbowman: Fredi is planning to use Heyward in the leadoff spot. #Braves [ http://twitter.com/mlbbowman/status/410492273345179648 ]
Somebody needs to get Mark a new Twitter avatar.

Chavez would be a lovely bench piece. He'd presumably do the Hinske thing, but the version of the Hinske thing where he was actually a capable bench bat and not just an adorable Leader Chipmunk.

Gattis will be full time Catcher as well
Where's all this busy-ness we're supposed to be observing?

You know, I feel like the whole "Frank Wren: Transactions Ninja" meme doesn't really reflect what I remember about the recent past. The Schuerholz years, sure (though we all remember Hot Nudism). But we were rumored to be in on BJ Upton from the moment the off-season started, and the Justin Upton rumors dragged on openly for months. Going back a few years, the Derek Lowe signing was no sort of surprise, and it came after very public pursuits of Burnett and Furcal.
I don't know. I just feel like most of what Wren does doesn't exactly spring suddenly out of the ether as some sort of grand surprise.

He's very basic, IMHO. David O'Brien is an unrepentant asshole, but a pretty good writer -- I really enjoy reading his pre-game stories. Neither appear to be willing to step on any toes tough, which is rather unfortunate.
We won't get started on the Braves' pathetic semi-pro blogging community.
