Albies is a swing slot away from not flying out anymore and having them drop in front of outfielders.

Albies will be fine as soon as it's figured out the only thing he really needs to do is alter his launch angle a bit. Problem is I'm not sure this organization can do it.

Nothing impressive about only getting 3 K's, all by the pitcher.

doesn't take much to impress thethe. 3 k's, 2 homers, 2 walks in 6 innings is not impressive

I've honestly seen enough of Sims. Would rather see Fried starting.

For a kid making his second MLB start to give up 4 runs with 1 out in the first and finish the next 5 and 2/3 scoreless is an impressive. Sometimes it's OK to get your head out of the statline.

Why would you throw out the 1st though? You could throw out the bad inning for a lot of pitchers and have someone decent.

And, as thewupk already said, the 3 K were against Jose Urena.

Everybody looks good when you don't take into account for when they are bad.

Is anyone expecting Sims to be impressive?

Some stat people have no concept of context. That's what makes someone like nsacpi one of the best posters on the board.

It's not just the statline. Look at his stuff. It just isn't that good.

Sometimes it's OK to call a performance for what it was and not sugar coat everything.

Wasn't able to watch today due to internet slowness, but I'm worried about the two HRs. Flyball pitcher+Suntrust Park is a bad combo.

So what's impressive about a 4.5 K/9 (all via the pitcher) and a .211 BABIP? Please enlighten us.

Marlins are bringing up two righties plus a PH in the 9th inning, and we know Snit is obsessed with L/L and R/R matchups. I doubt we see Fried today. Even if we were to see a lefty, it would go to Rex Brothers.

I bet we see Jim Johnson.

The Braves must have had terrible domestic scouts back in the Wren Era.

Sims and Hursh (drafted ahead of Judge Lol) are not what I envision when thinking of 1st-rounders.

Got a feeling you're gonna see Fried just as much as you saw Morris...

Rex Brothers is in the pen. For crying out loud, let Fried pitch the 9th. This Braves offense is dead today, so there is no coming back.

He already told you what he felt was impressive about it. If you disagree, then you are entirely free to do so.
